I did BDD. Had my claim in 72 days into the 90 day window That starts from the 180 day from ETS mark. I retired February 1st and got my VA claim decision 8 days later.

Just had my EAS on August 11th. Went from step 5 back to step 3 because of a HAIMS STR request from the VA. Submitted it and now just waiting at step 3. Hopefully I find out within the next month or two.

Thanks for putting this out! My window opens in July. One thing I can’t get a clear answer to is the proposed changes for SA, MH, etc…When I submit in July and the changes got into effect before my ETS what rating criteria will I fall under the old or new? My ETS is December.

I was going with a VSO with WWP and he absolutely fucked me. I’m ending up sending everything up myself.

So you went to the DAV and they can help active duty Marines who are 180-90 days out. Because doing the process looks confusing. I’m just wondering if they are able to help with it? Appreciate you

Thank you for this. I’ve just filled my BDD claim. What forms were sent to you to be completed before the VA appointment?

Whatever you do, be aware to have a basic understanding of what Project 2025 has to do with VA benefits. Who is endorsing it and why is important to either support it or repell it and how to do either or. Is very important to be informed because is going to impact every single veteran.
