Best minimalist wallet 2022? Axwell Wallet Review

I don't like how you get to your cards, but this minimalist wallet feels amazing. And I am a bit torn if I will continue using this or move back to the Ekster.

HOW I REVIEW:

As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUICKLOOK AND A REVIEW:

A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.

For all my videos I decided not to include links for the products. Everyone is living in different countries and therefore has to deal with different shipping and customs fees. That is why I would advice everyone just to Google the product within their country to find the best deals. For instance: I live in Germany, It wouldn’t make sense to give you a German link while you might be living in USA or Asia. I hope that is understandable.

I never carry these types of wallets anymore. I had a bellroy slim sleeve that I loved for years but all I need is my ID card and debit card on the rare occasion Apple Pay doesn’t work. I use the apple wallet but I’ve been using the popwallet as well and I like it a lot. I mostly use my Apple Watch for cards

Newer cards (in EU) only have a code that tells the POS that the card is not enabled for magnetic reading. But in the US you can still find magnetic only POS

Sorry, even in 2022 I can't see myself only walking around with cards. Most of those can luckily be transferred to a phone nowadays. I, however, still need to walk around with bills and coins. Therefore I'll stick with the Secrid. Just like I did the last years.

Nice color, but I think would find that magnetic cash band annoying if it kept coming off.
Currently still using Hershel Supply Company "Charlie" wallet, not exciting but it does the job holds four cards and some cash folded in half.

Based on a superficial Google it seems that older credit cards will get damaged by magnets but not newer ones.

OK, but who needs a wallet these days? what is not done by the phone wallet? perhaps in the EU, we are lucky?

I think the Ekster aluminum card holders are the best. They stole the design from the Andar Pilot, but Ekster did a better production job.

Looks like a copy of the Ridge Wallet. I had always hope that Ridge sells faceplates.
