My father was a concert pianist in Poland in his late teens (1930’s) & highly regarded his beloved Chopin. As a child I heard countless compositions of Chopin being played by my father and memorized all the notes in my head. I cannot read or play piano but I can sing every note. Your passionate performance of this Etude brings back such tender memories of my childhood. A truly gifted artist 👏🏻👏🏻🎹💯

Your playing is fantastic, but what is truly breathtaking is the effort you must have put into putting all those candles around!

With all the fun videos and tutorials you post, I had forgotten how sublimely you play. And, the candles provided a wonderful effect! Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

A powerful piece and interpretation that made me shed a tear. You really do have a gift for music. I only hope one day my musicianship can be a fraction as good as yours ❤

Absolutely stunning! Your playing paints such a vivid and enchanting picture . You've beautifully captured the atmosphere, emotion, and intricacies of this piece, making it feel as though i am here listening live in person. The candle light just adds another layer of warmth, intensity and sweetness.❤

So beautiful. I've been listening to this since the late 1950s. I've never gotten tired of this piece... Anytime I'm lonely or missing someone. This is as beautiful as I can remember hearing it played... Thanks so much.

I wish I could give this video more than one single solitary lonesome thumbs up! Excellent scenery, phenomenal playing (as always!), great video editing and multiple camera angles...it has it all!

BRAVO Annique!

I would still love to hear the Chopin Nocturne Op. Posthumous in E minor while you have the set-up with all the candles! It is Chopin's most haunting and passionate Nocturne (in my humble opinion).
