This video is not new, as you can see by the date on the timestamp, it was private and was made for a thread I had going on on a dashcam forum called DashCamTalk. I made this dashmat back in June 2015, out of the black cloth I use to cover things up on stage when needed. I works like a charm and I've never removed it since.
The dashboard reflection problem can only be solved by eliminating the source of the reflections, instead of trying to minimize them with a CPL filter. Filters works ok on bright days but when it's cloudy or at night they make the picture darker and you lose a lot of details.

Now you know why my footage doesn't have any reflections. ; )

You could do it like that.. or you do what I did and buy a polarizing filter. ;)

Hahaha... I actually thought about doing the same thing like 2 days back :D
Then again I thought about making my own polarizing filter, but that would also take out reflections from other cars, which would result in more work for me :P

I had a "funny" incident (well... 2 days ago, that's where I thought about enhancing the camera stuff in my car) where I would have needed a rear dashcam, now I'm looking for a cheap very stealthy one with a standard USB (no custom mounts) and tripod screw (because...well...no custom mount)... You know anything good? :P

And the most important thing here... Does it work?
