The reason people get mad or shun you when you have this opinion is because you're messing with their coping mechanism. They really are terrified by the possibility they could be wrong. I feel sorry for them but at the same time it's a waste of time talking to these people. You can't have a conversation with someone that has no curiosity. It gets boring really fast.
