Tucker Carlson Does Logical Backflips To Defend Insurrectionist

During Tucker Carlson's show on Fox News, he hosted former Trump Administration environmental lawyer Jeffery Clark. Clark tried and failed to overturn the 2020 election for Donald Trump by organizing fake electors. Tucker wants his audience to believe Clark is a patriot and a victim of a Soviet-style totalitarian overreach when law enforcement had a warrant to search his home for evidence.

let's play this one other clip of Jeffrey Clark. This is the one on Tucker Carlson. I hate to talk about anything other than Roe v Wade. We have done a lot of shows on it. we're going to have a constitutional or a constitutional law professor on Monday. We'll probably be talking about Wednesday as well. some of these supreme court decisions. We have done multiple interviews on this inevitability over the past couple of weeks. and you can go back and listen to those. but I must think that this January 6 the staff will get out. makes it even in many respects more important. because all of this is part of the whole. the idea that the supreme court is constituted of six conservatives now three of whom were seated under very dubious situations. the idea that you would have senators and congresspeople and DOJ officials who were more than willing to be active participants in a soft coup attempt in this country from the republican party. These are of the same species if you will. they don't care. There are no rules. there is only naked power. within these sort of very like sort of broad constructs. naked power. This must be met by political opponents who understand that. who have over 20 or 30 years need to internalize this or step out of the way? and my guess is stepped out of the way is a far more viable option for them. so here is this guy Jeffrey Clark. he's you know mid-level DOJ. environmental lawyer. environmental lawyer. yeah. and it's becoming clear now that there were two tracks that they hoped to converge in the middle. They were looking for state officials to produce new electors or some confusion about the electors and send that up the chain to the senate. to to the certification process. and to help that and to provide cover for the senators who had you know we're pushing for these new electors. and to provide the impetus for the states particularly Georgia. they knew the more the merrier. Trump wanted the DOJ to say that electoral shenanigans are going on in these states. and to be clear they investigated. Bill Barr investigated. there was nothing used, nothing you could even hang his hat on. Trump said get out.

it legit took me a while to figure out if his side of the image was frozen or paused because he was so weirdly and robotically stuck in that expression. it would be weird to be that still no matter what, but the fact that it's such a dumb face to top it off just makes it ridiculously bizarre.
