That sounds a little better. Is the Southwire a 50k count meter? They are really nice. I really don't need another meter, but I may have to get one. You can get them really cheap. They have been around for 6-8 years I think.

Still have this meter 3 years since buying it alongside 2 other excellent Amazon Commercial meters. They are fantastic, rugged as hell as you point out. The plastic used on the case is every bit as durable as Fluke, maybe slightly more.
My Fluke 117 electricians meter hairline cracked through the top after a fall from just 48" from the bench onto it's top end with the rubber boot firmly in place. My 11 year old Fluke 87V is far more rugged thankfully but you are much more likely to find an electrician working at height than you are one us electronics guys.
The Amazon rechargeable battery is a little expensive at £45 but I had to have a fully charged spare at all times for when the charge on the fitted battery drops.
I do like the look of the SouthWire with the brown rubber overmould but sadly, they are not available here in England.
Had a look inside and the protection circuitry is very good too.
Came in a nice fitted case and a large power supply/charger too and I really like the fitting that goes into the jacks which is very secure in place and you cannot use the meter while it is on charge which is a great safety step.
The graphing facility is a great feature too.
Incidentally, the UI looks better on the SouthWire and given the choice, I would have bought the SouthWire instead of the Amazon and other than this, both meters are exactly the same. Bought my Amazon version on offer at the time at a fantastic bargain price of £70, wish I had bought 2 as the Amazon is not available any longer.
It is a pity that they withdrew this range of test gear, I bought 2 other different multimeters, a clamp meter, a volt stick and a very good IR temperature pistol grip gun too which is feature packed.
These tools would have gained an excellent reputation had they stayed in the marketplace long enough. I believe there are some 'Amazon Basics' tools still manufactured and sold but the 'Commercial' range were the dogs b0ll0cks.
