If there's one thing I know to be true about the world of instructional design and eLearning development, it's that everyone has a different opinion and definition of what instructional design is and what instructional designers do on a day-to-day basis.

Part of what makes the role of instructional design such a challenge to define is that it can be a role in and of itself or a component of your role. In other words, depending on how you look at it, instructional design can be your job or a function of your job.

So, what do instructional designers do on a day-to-day and project-by-project basis? Well, in this video, I'll share with you a practical and common-sense overview of the different roles and responsibilities that make up being an instructional designer.
