Indian Canyons is a great area for hiking that has multiple palm oasis and is located on the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation. The area features tons of hiking trails, but the two most popular are Palm Canyon and Andreas Canyon. I did both in this video and had a great time exploring this special part of California. Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments.

I was also in the Palm Springs area in March. As a first timer, I watched all of your Joshua Tree/Palm Springs vids beforehand. They added so much to my trip! Ty for the consistently great content.

I keep going back and re-watching your videos before we go explore. They are so informative. We even decided to start our own channel about our adventures too.

I’m a local in Palm Springs and it does get very hot during the summer. Recommend coming in November- March is the best time to come!

Thank you so much for your videos! I appreciate all the information you share along with your opinions. I’ve watched a handful of them to help plan for my upcoming trip to Palm Springs for the 2nd time. I will definitely be going to Indian Canyons, Joshua Tree and will go back to Mount San Jacinto. Visiting in April. Can’t wait!

I went to Indian Canyons this past February. We walked the Andreas Canyon Trail and it was very beautiful and peaceful.

Wow no kidding?!? Those trails look a lot of fun with way more shade than other SoCal hikes 🤯 You had a ton of beautiful shots in there. Hope we can check it out

That looked so amazing. I was traveling across California last year and I need to come back to see Palm Canyon! Such a beautiful area

California Fan Palms (Washingtonia Filifera) are, in my mind, the most visually striking of all the palms native to the United States. This video really shows them off superbly. In cultivation, they readily cross with Mexican Fan Palms (Washingtonia Robusta), making it difficult to find a "pure" California Fan Palm. Sites like Indian Canyon are important refuges for pure strain W. Filiferas.

Great video! I definitely want to check these trails out. I hiked the Harmon Canyon Trail this morning in Ventura. Pretty easy hike, nice wide trail.
