Pile 2. My ending was codependency. I had a very toxic codependent relationship that ended horribly over 2 yrs ago. Over that time I worked on myself and thought my ex partner was doing the same. When we started talking again almost a year ago I thought it'd be different for us but he started doing the same things again and I couldn't brush it off like before. I had changed too much. As much as I loved him I knew I couldn't repeat that cycle. After a few discussions that changed nothing, I chose to move on. It's the first time I've chosen myself over someone else. "It's time to really fulfill yourself so that Breadcrumbs don't feel like a blessing!" Really hit home cause the last guy I was seeing brought back the same pain I went through nearly a decade ago (and I regretted my choice but then realised life will make you go through the same thing all over again until you actually learn the lesson) and I realised how I shouldn't be so willing to give myself to a person who would give me the bare minimum and make it look like a lot!
Also realised (well re-realised) that I don't have to shy away from asking what I deserve and settling for nothing less.
