Sending my condolences to the fans of Calgary and Columbus and the people of New Jersey as well for the passing of the Gaudreau brothers. It's a shame, don't ever think drinking and getting behind the wheel is a good idea. It never is

Ive shit on Columbus for a lot of years, but this year im pulling for them. I hope all their youth progress and become good players. I hope their fans attend and support their club. I pray the team can honour Gudreau and the family and help to keep his memory alive. I pray they can find some solace and a miniscule of healing at least from the help of this franchise not just from within or the im positive they will.

It is fitting that the Toronto magnet is nearly invisible.

The pressure is on the Oilers because cap wise this is their nest chance they will have. If they don't get it this season, then they might never see 97 lift a cup. I don't mean that this is the last chance, but I don't think they will get a better shot at it than they do now.

My Leafs have re-calibrated their expectations to being more reasonable and attainable. "Let's get at least two power play goals before we choke away this first round series boys!"

0:37 I think you meant Columbus? I heard San Jose.

As a Devils fan, my heart really goes out to Calgary and Columbus fans for the loss of Gaurdeau. I definitely agree a cup is the last thing on their minds right now. That being said, the loss might motivate them to play better. Sometimes the loss of a great teammate sometimes gives a kick in the ass to play better. Sometimes other players feel like their departed friend and teammate is with them in spirit. I know my late father in law taught me a lot of tips and tricks with handiwork around the house. He died during the pandemic, but there have been plenty of times where I have been stuck, and did not know how to complete the task. I would sit down, maybe eat something, ponder, and just say to myself "talk to me, Steve." And sometimes, I fail, sometimes I don't. But I always feel like my father in law is with me in spirit.

Something I haven't really seen Stars fans talk about is that they won't have a lot of time to win with this core. Sure, Benn and Seguin's big contracts will fall off, but there won't be money to keep everyone.

I hope they can do it so all the 2017 and 2021 boys (and Harley) can lift the Cup together with Benn, ultimate passing of the torch. Probably the only chance to do so.

Wild fan, here. While there isn't Stanley Cup pressure in MN per se, there IS pressure to convince Kaprizov to stay here. Getting back into the playoffs is a must. A second round exit instead of first would help.
We're all crossing our fingers that he follows in his idol's footsteps (Ovi) and spends his career with one team.

This is one of my favorite videos that you do. The teams 1-4 stand way above the rest in the pressure cooker.

Great video, as always. No pressure on Columbus....agreed and for very sad and obvious reasons. Edmonton?? Yup, pressure is on big time. Penguins/ Capitals side by side...as it should be. These two have been connected together since Ovi and Crosby entered the league....what a rivalry (two of my favourite players in the entire league too by the way).

“whichever entrance or exit you want to consider….” Excellent Shannonism. 🙏🏻

I would have: 1-Oilers, 2-Rangers, 3-Stars, 4-Leafs.

I’m ready for some hockey, it’s been a long summer.

Oilers fan here. I just hope emotionally they are ready to play. The playoffs were draining and their off season was really short. I’d be surprised if they got off to a good start.

In 44 years of watching the NHL, I have never heard a player say to a team, "I won't play for you because the taxes are too high where your team is located." I know that someone will say, "John Doe said in an interview that taxes on his salary were what made me sign elsewhere." However, unless you can actually site the article / interview, I'm not trusting that it actually happened.
