Welcome to B4UBuyReviews. Today's video is about the LifeProof case. I will be featuring the iPhone 5 case specifically. I was super excited when LifeProof came out with their design and business model for i devices. I did not care the price I would have to pay to allow me to take my iPhone under water. At over 90 dollars later, I stroll home with the LifeProof case in tow. To be honest, I've had this case now for a few months and waited to do this video until I could give it more honest time. A few things first -- the case does work like its supposed to. I've had my phone underwater. Just like any underwater camera, the microphone doesn't work that well while the case is wet. So, having a phone call immediately after dropping the phone in a full tub -- will not result in the best call experience.
When you put your phone in the case, make sure the phone and the case is free of any debree, such as no dust or hairs along the edge. This could prevent a secure seal. Use a quarter to pry the bottom left or right corner gently open, so that you can access the phone in the case. The installation is quite easy once you get over the initial paranoia that your going to ruin your phone. I have not ruined mine yet! Plus, if you want extra security, you can buy additional protection coverage from Lifeproof directly.
The configuration of the case doesn't allow you to connect the iphone 5 to the smallest lightening adapter. You need to have the lightening adapter that has the longer cable extender to fit in the case and reach the phone.
Also, the way that the screen fits against the phone, I find myself having to work MUCH harder to type text messages and emails. Especially near the bottom edge of the screen. Pressing space bar, etc. takes conserted effort which you can either adjust to, or become annoyed with. Pick your poision.
The LifeProof requires that you use a special adapter that fits into the bottom of the case so that you can plug in your headphones. You can also buy water proof headphones directly from Lifeproof. I use a Bluetooth headset so I don't need to worry about connecting headphones at all.

Overall, if you plan on working a lot near water or in environments where your phone will be subject to the various elements and potential hazards -- the life proof case is a good way to ensure that your phone is safe from all that life has to dish it.

I have the Lifeproof nüüd case and it's awesome, your screen is what you touch so your picture is clear and it's east to type. Plus no air bubbles, I have the 5s aswell

Please answer this! So I just got one and I put it on and I realized this bump near the front camera, speaker and other dot. Btw I have a 5s. I realized it was a cover but I didn't know if I could take it off because it seemed like plastic! But that's it! Thanks

I have a iphone 5 and was given a lifeproof case. I do not know the model of this case.
I placed my iphone 5 in the case and I could not get the case to completely seal.
I have tried everything I can think of and it does not work. Have any suggestions?
