Back when our children were younger we would dry apples, fruits and herbs in a plastic electric dehydrator, perhaps you can find a way to dry the apples for the upcoming cold winter.

What is life like in a small village far away from the city? Do most people purchase property or rent it? My dream is to move there and have a small piece of property where I would farm.

I love the dacha. Not the same real estate business as in N. America. We have cottages on the lake complete with mosquitoes and everything must be brought in. I bet your dacha pays for itself and then some.
