Ivo Papazov- Marika Duma Pro Duma transcription

From his 1989 album Orpheus Ascending. Part way into this segment must be one of the most intense moments I've heard in the genre, the whole band just shifts into a whole new gear towards the end of the clarinet solo that caps off the song. It was also interesting to transcribe, as it doesn't sit fantastically with western notation. Many of the trills and inflections deserve their own symbols really, clearly based on the mechanics of the clarinet. you can see I used a few different rhythmic notations for them. This transcription begins near the end of Ivo's solo, check out the rest of the tune and album too! I also forgot to fully detail the harmony. The first section is G9-Dm7 and the ultra fast section is Em chords strummed offbeat with the occasional B7 or Ebdim7 I think.
