Why I don't use basic Risk:Reward

Traditional Risk Reward is subjective. I do not believe that a trader should stick to a strict Risk:Reward ratio, it should be flexible and should be adjusted as the trade progresses.

The same thing happened to me on Gold today when I placed a buy order in a 30-minute timeframe after the first candle had closed i still did not want to take profit and still waiting for the next candle to close because of my RR and I ended up losing everything 😭

Raja bro you should try ICT concepts to reduce your risk and increase reward. Some of your points are valid, we should always book our profit, but the RR you taught is not for a long run.

It’s knowing when to move your stop loss to BE. And how that affects your psychology it hitting BE instead of profit then going on to hit take profit but your out the trade. That alone can cause issues for certain mindsets. Make peace with risk if you feel anything when in the trade this could be because you are not at peace with the risk on the table. In saying that the number one thing is Preservation of capital is king obviously.

May god bless you Raja, I was really been thinking about this risk to reward for a good amount of time and really didn’t have any mentor or successful level person come out and say this, I have soo many good trades but just cause it didn’t hit my 1:2 or 1:3 I was loosing them, my executions were good but the idea of exiting them was something not of an easy task, wow this really helps and you as always taught me something. Wishing you more and more success.

Yesterday I saw my ladger statement what I notice is that my winning days are more then my loosing days but still I'm in loss, and the reason I found out that I have some big losses in my account .those big losses made huge difference..so guyz focus on winning big..when u loose, loose less and when u win make sure it's big..this was my case.
