Batman 3D Animation - Batman watching over Gotham City

Meine neueste Animation mit dem Batman. Ähnlich wie die Alte, nur habe ich alle Details verbessert.

• Mehr und urbaneres Gotham City: Gotham City besteht quasi aus einem großen Hintergrundbild, das ich aus mehreren Motiven freier Bilder zusammengesetzt habe.

• Detaillierteres Dach: Die Texturen für das Dach habe ich alle nochmals überarbeitet und angepasst. Zusätzlich habe ich dem Dach ein Wasserturm beschert, wie er oft in New York zu finden ist. Er gehört natürlich auch zum Stadtbild von Gotham City.

• Genauere Capeanimation: Das Cape von Batman habe ich Modo modelliert und dies anschließend in Blender importiert. Da Modo (noch?) keine Softbodyfunktion besitzt, habe ich das Cape in Blender als Softbody definiert und mit einem Windkraftfeld animiert. Das Finden der einigermaßen richtigen Parameter hat alleine Tage gedauert. Anschließend habe ich die berechneten, gebakten Daten als mdd File exportiert und in Modo ans Cape gehangen. Dies anschließend mit einem Morph des Capes vermischt, damit es auch die 'Fledermaus'-Form beibehält.

• Batman: An der Figur des Batman habe ich nicht mehr viel geändert, sie ist immer noch ein Posermodel, das ich in Modo bearbeitete, skulpte und mit Texturen versah. Ich habe wohl den Batman extra beleuchtet sowie mit den Modo Morphs leichte Bewegungen erzeugt, so auch das Atmen.

• Geschmeidigere Kamerafahrt: Die Kamerafahrt habe ich auch nochmals definiert, einschließlich der Nahaufnahme von dem Batman

• Soundkulisse: Die Soundkulisse setzte ich in Final Cut Express auch nochmals neu zusammen und erweitere sie mit Danny Elfmans ikonischen Final Theme vom Soundtrack von Tim Burtons erstem Batman von 1989. Die Geräusche sind freie Sounds auf dem Internet und hiermit bedanke ich mich bei den unbekannten Spendern. :)

• TDKR Sprechblasen: Zur endgültigen Verfeinerung und um der Animation wenigstens einen gewissen Sinn zu verleihen ;) habe ich anschließend noch zwei Sprechblasen hinzugefügt. Kenner sollten direkt erkennen, dass es sich um die beiden Letzten aus Frank Millers Epos The Dark Knight Returns bzw. Die Rückkehr des Dunklen Ritters handelt.

Insgesamt hat der Film über 3 Wochen reine Rechenzeit auf einen Mac Pro mit 4 Kernen gebraucht. Die Berechnung von der Animation des Capes dauerte auch über 24 h. Die Konstruktionzeit der gesamten Szene kann ich nicht genau sagen, da ich das Batmanmodel und deren Texturen über die Jahre bearbeitet habe, es waren jedenfalls Wochen.

isn't batman's cape made of smth like latex? just like the rest of his suite. there's no gloss on yours =( and the cape streches a lot.

Just a comment, I feel that the breathing of the Batman's chest heaving up and down is a little... intense? Look at Batman's chest from 0:04 to 0:17 and the close up from 0:26 to 0:30. Anyway, nice vid, I wouldn't be able to make that myself.
