None of these tips - or anyone else's tips - could get my sound to work in Cubase 11. I finally figured it out. I had to go to Studio > Studio Setup and then click on "Control Panel." Under "Card Options" I unchecked the box labeled "Allow ASIO host application to take exclusive control of selected port configuration." Once I unchecked this box, my DAC/AMP (that's connected to my computer by USB) showed up on the list. I selected it and then went to Studio > Audio Connections. In the "Device Port" column when I clicked on "Not Connected" my speakers (DAC/AMP) showed up on the drop down list that appeared. I selected them for both the right and left output, closed the window and then the sound worked. Problem solved!

This video is gold! I've got a 16g Ram laptotp with 7 instrument tracks opened (Serum, Arturia, Groove Agent, Halion, etc.) and it was so stuttering that I couldn't use it anymore. Now I have applied your advices and the experience is supersmooth! Thanks very much, well done and very helpful!

I started a project on a Nuage / Nuendo / Mac constellation and transferred it to my stick to try it at home with my UR44 / Cubase / PC.
I redid the steps over and over and finally searched for the first video on "no sound in Cubase 11" and this came up. 1:13 saved my ass. Thanks, dude.

This is what fixed it:
1. Press F4.
2. Disable Control Room.
3. Outputs Tab.
4. Add 3 Stereo Outputs.
5. In my case it's the "UR 44 Mix 1 L" and "UR 44 Mix 1 R".
6. Now check in your project in every lane that the output is set to either "Stereo 1" or "Stereo 2" or "Stereo 3" <---- Depends on your personal setup. In my case, it was the "Stereo 1" Bus.

Thank you so much for solving my problem. I Had a problem with presets and I followed the instructions that You described (copying from one folder and pasting to other) and it solved the problem. I was frustrated so much. this shouldnt be like this cause people spend lot of money giving it to cubase and meeting that big frustration. It is a shame to cubase and i think they should fix this problem. This is a miracle that I run into this video. Thank you so much again

I have the missing logical presents in Cubase Elements 10 but have copied and pasted the presets folder as per the video but it still is greyed out. Have also restarted the PC. Have checked that the copied folder is present in Roaming...presets etc??

The quality of your videos are first class and a ton better than the Steinberg tutorials.

Jon, just wanted to say a big Thank You! for your YouTube. I had a distorted sound coming through via my external audio interface as I was film scoring. I did exactly what you advised checking audio settings and audio connections yet distorted sound persisted. Been tearing my head off and I then saw the bit you change the buffer so I increased mine from 256 to 512 and bang that worked. Cheers mate. Life saver.

2:03 So I gues I'm the reason you say "almost": When I start up Cubase, the audio of my projects sometimes works, but sometimes it doesn't. I never change a thing about any audio settings of Cubase or these projects. Apparently it strictly depends on what mood Cubase is in that day. So, often I have to start up Cubase multiple times, till I have sound.

None of this helped for the no audio. My signal is definitely going to my interface but will not go to cubase. It won't show up on anything

The sound fix didn't help me. All my outputs are routed correctly and everything, but I still get no sound.
