Cream Soda

Hey guys, so today I want to make a quick video on how to make something a lot of you guys have been requesting, cream soda. Now this recipe is almost a non-recipe in how simple it is, but honestly, the stuff I ended up with was really freakin good and some of the best cream soda I have had, so I don’t really see any reason to make it more complicated than it is.

Recipe:
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
3 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
Soda Water

Most of the Cream Sodas I am accustomed to also contain an acid component to balance the sweetness, and it's far nicer (for my palate) than the plain vanilla sugar soda.

I'm glad you showed the Italian cream soda, that's one of my absolute favorite treats from time to time. Sometimes I like a little hazelnut syrup mixed with the vanilla as a cream soda too!

The one baking ingredient my mom says to splurge on is authentic vanilla extract.

Started making my own vanilla extract last year, and I honestly can't complain. The stuff tastes fantastic and goes a lot further than what I can get locally here.

This man's sub count doesn't add up to how amazing his vids are. It's a slow grind, so don't give up, you'll pop off one day.

Never imagined the combination of milk and soda, but your video has made me want to try it. Most probably would have to make it myself though, given how i've never seen it in my local grocery.
Great video, I fail to understand how your channel is not more famous than it is.

Just in case you don’t heart my comment today I want to let you know that cream soda is another one of my favorite drinks.

3 teaspoons (5 ml) is exactly 1 tablespoon (15 ml). The relation is the same even in freedom units though the freeadom teaspoon has a much more logical size of 4.92892159 ml, making the tablespoon a nice, round 14.7687683 ml

Fun Fact: commercial cream soda is actually made with an artificial vanilla cream flavoring but this is a good idea too.

I tried making the recipe today and it tastes great. Where I live there is no cream soda flavor, so I've always wanted to try it. It is very smooth and has a nice vanilla flavor, I recommend it. Being so simple you get to thinking what flavors could be made in a similar way?

Wow thanks I did not know that cream soda was really vanilla. Thanks for that info

The simplicity of cream soda really stems from the fact that the vanilla extract is already emulsified in alcohol, if I'm not mistaken. That's really what separates it from any other kind of soda making from scratch. My personal cola and lemon lime sodas required some serious mechanical force and gum Arabic to make happen.

I would love to see you make more videos on different soda recipes

the thing is just that vanilla extract is SOOO much more intense in flavor than real vanilla.
sure, real vanilla is more complex... but that strong intense Vanillin flavor we all expect you really just get with extract.

My grandpa always got Madagascar a grade vanilla beans and my sisters and I would make fresh vanilla bean smoothies

2:58 by chill, do you mean let it stand on the side, or put it in the fridge?
