Thanks for watching. Do you still need help? Use the NASCompares Free Advice section above. It is my free, unbias community support system that allows you to ask me questions about your ideal setup. It is NOT a sales platform, NOT a way to push hardware you don’t need and, although it is just manned by me and might take a day or two for me to reply, I will help you any way I can. Below are some more popular guides.

This description contains links to and Amazon. These links will take you to some of the products mentioned in today's video.

I've got it running on two HVD with the QNAP Virtual Station. it works but it's SLOW to plot. it would be nice to have a QNAP native app with a full GUI. (hint hint) I'd even be willing to pay for a good app.

Unfortunately, in some respect, the Chia network has grown so much, that it now takes close to a decade to "win" for someone with a modest setup (24TB)

Thanks for sharing. I thought there was maybe going to be a GUI in the NAS QTS.. that's what I hoped for..
Doesn't look like it according to this video.

I think I'll just stick for Docker and Chia as a container. Cheers

Lots of wear and tear on the hardware is my understanding of the way it makes coins.

Exactly same as gamers build a fancy RGB bling gaming system and use it for crypto while it is free. It looks great in idea, but no mankind can be satisfied by a small gain. They eventually become miners and crypto traders.

I just feel like this is a complete waste of usable storage and e-waste generator. Just like Ethereum is a waste of GPU resources and resources used to generate electricity that could go into something actually useful. All those Ethereum GPUs, probably going to get trashed unless they can be repurposed to AI type stuff or VM passthrough, or Plex transcoders...
