This legit made me cry when I was a little kid! I had him up there with Freddy Krueger and Jason from Friday the 13th as “monsters” I would have nightmares about. Papashango did such a great job and is so insanely underrated.

As much BS as the Papa Shango character gets, it was this cursing of Warrior that turned me from an occasional 9 year old fan to a "I must watch every week" fan. It was different and spooky and 9 year old me loved it because it was different. I get now why they do some "childish" things to get kids interested because those 9 year old fans turn into 41 year old fans that haven't missed a week in 32 years.

Papa Shango was so scary when I was young. I remember liking Undertaker back then and then seeing those two evil witches battle felt insane. I was like 6 and I completely believed this was real lol
