Greek composer Vangelis dies aged 79

Musicians around the world have been paying tribute to the Greek composer, Vangelis, who has died at the age of 79. He was most famous for the soundtrack to the Oscar winning film, Chariots of Fire.

I am devastated. Prior to his death, I made numbers of tribute videos to him. He was a wonderful man inside and out. He had a beautiful and humble soul. His creativity was astounding and it was very impressive. He was not just a film composer. He was a fantastic arranger, composer and musician. He was a genius artist period.

RIP to a maestro 🙏 Bladerunner is one of my very favourite films. This alone wouldn't have been the same without Vangelis's eerie, melancholic, mysterious score. I hope he did not suffer. Regards to his loved ones. May his soul rest in everlasting peace. 🙏🎼🌌
