Feral child raised by animals found in Bahraich

A girl was found in the Katarniaghat forests of Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich with habits similar to that of animals. The 8-year-old girl was found two months back by senior inspector Suresh Yadav and reportedly she has marks all over her body and can't understand human language. According to Chief Medical Officer DK Singh the girl has lived with animals for some times and after months of guidance now she is showing signs of improvement.

Thats terrible :( poor girl. Also they comments are awful, I dont think people realize how serious this is. Most feral children die before 10 die to lack of development or human care/socialization. If the brain is not developed within the first few stages of life, it will cause long term damage. This child will never be fully "normal" within her lifetime. She may not even live that long sadly.

Where are the sources for this ? Not much improvement if any at all can be made in feral children, are they sure she isn't a disabled runaway, she seems to understand many concepts a feral child wouldnt.
