Fun fact! When cats bring dead animals or their food to their owners, it because they think the owner is too weak or pathetic to hunt on their own so they provide food for them. When tohru got sick (as weak as a person can get), kyo immediately made her food so she could get better. Also would love to see if he would chase a laser lol

There’s plenty of cat boy anime’s out there, but the author of Fruits Basket really put in so much work to make sure each of her characters had aspects of their animals in their personalities. For example, being a cat is why Kuo hates leeks and miso soup, because those are bad for cats to eat. Likewise, Yuki is soft spoken and gravitates toward others like a rat, Haru is aggressive and has a bad sense of direction like an ox, Shigure is very energetic and stubborn like a dog, Rin likes her freedom and runs fast like a horse, etc.
