Blood centers across the country are reporting dangerously low levels of supply this holiday season and are asking for the public’s help to replenish stocks at blood banks nationwide. Vitalant blood services in Illinois is giving away (4) 5, 000 visa gift cards for the month of January 2022 to blood donors. This has increased staff getting sick because this is creating poor social distancing, and has brought a lot of people in that have just been diagnosed less than the allotted time to donate with symptoms still present.
