As technology has progressed, privacy has become ever more elusive.

Scary stuff coming from the same company touting privacy and security for the past few years

VR Headset mind control sounds very dystopian. But it’s far from impossible sadly

Remember when Apple wanted to demonstrate how well Doom runs on a Mac and it crashed on both demo computers? 😂

I can't believe the lack of conversation around the surveillance topic. The VisionPro has 12 cameras, multiple microphones, and is likely always online. Imagine a world where the majority wear one of these augmented reality headsets. The company with access to those devices could create a visual/audio map of the entire city in real time. Combined with the fact that we now know how closely corporations work with government... and we're moving into a ZERO privacy reality. All your data are belong to us.

"computers can write significantly better code than humans" in the narrow sense of generating better assembly has been true for decades already, ever since SSA optimizing compilers started becoming a thing. Compilers have also been using ML for tuning heuristics and hyperparameters for a least a decade. None of these have replaced coding, because just like with art and writing, the actual challenge is turning human ideas into something a machine can work with, not writing text into a file or putting dots on a screen.

Friday checkouts now become my weekend routine. After work and some house chores and dinner, I start my social media catchup by starting with your videos. Thank you for making these. ❤

There's no way that vr or ar will ever be as popular as peoole think. They're an awkward, cumbersome device that requires so much more effort than a comouter or phone. Not too mention the price.

Nebula is sadly ridiculously expensive by Indian standards. It's the price of Disney+ and Amazon Prime combined. That's insane

About AlphaDev. It wasn't really coding. It was randomly selecting assembly commands until they were doing better that human-written. So machines are not better at coding, they are better at going through all possible states.

This whole VR thing is insanely dystopian. These tech companies won't be happy until we're all living in their version of the Matrix. I won't participate.

4:08: I'm not surprised. Sometimes my mouse wheel doesn't move the page downwards like I expect it to do and it's really jarring. More so than one would expect.

You really think Apple is going to sell millions of these things for €4200? I doubt many consumers will buy it.

Regarding the micro-expression tracking: I'm not too concerned about the tech existing, it's the business models that are always the worry. Selling ads based on ever more invasive ways of figuring out what you are thinking is the problem. I don't want my thoughts to be stored on the cloud, accessible by who-knows.

Scary! I hate it when my friends tell my secrets to untrusted people, what more if a company reads what's inside your mind.
