In the United States, Synology is required by law to provide the full warranty on their products, even when used with 3rd-party memory modules.

The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act explicitly prohibits tie-in sales provisions such as conditioning the warranty on using OEM branded parts; except where the part is the cause of the warranty claim.

Hey Willie, if you're looking for a different video maybe you could do a VM challenge with that unit. Meaning to load as many VMs as you can on it and see how usable the unit is. Most YT'er have skipped over this test and focused on the Plex performance only. I see the focus of this box being a VM / video / backup solutions vs a pure Plex box.
