I lived there for eight years and enjoyed every moment living there. As for you Doc, enjoy yourself, by relaxing and do go sight seeing by visiting some waterfalls, other beaches and caves around the island, also, if you have time do some island hoping to Maui, Lanai, Kuai, Molokai and the BIG ISLAND.
