This is the story of Jamie Laudert, a Minneapolis resident, who received City funds to weatherize her home. As part of the Climate Legacy Initiative, the Minneapolis Health Department's Green Cost Share and Lead and Healthy Homes programs offer community members like Jamie assistance in making weatherization and other energy-saving improvements to their homes. The Climate Legacy Initiative is a $10 million annual commitment to reduce utility bills, increase green job opportunities, plant more trees, and help Minneapolis become carbon-neutral by 2050.
