It is excellent news that talks are underway between Poland and the Nordic States. Europe needs to demonstrate a strong commitment to mutual support in the face of the growing threat from ruSSia, particularly when NATO seems weakened by the unpredictable response of the United States.

Yes, Poland & the NB8 joining forces is a very positive development. Perhaps they might be able to get the Czech's to join them aswell, & that might in turn entice others to join. Keep in mind, already the NB8, while fairly small in population, still is about 33 million, & represent a GDP of +2 Trillion US$, ie a larger economy than Ruzzia.. It's also a region with considerable in terms of innovation & development, including military equipment.. The "Nordic airforce" that is forming may well be fielding 300 fighters, & have resources like AWACS (3 GlobalEye already being built, of which 2 will enters service in the near future), have some dedicated intelligence aircraft, 14 C-130 Hercules (of which the 6 Swedish ones will be fazed out for an unknown number of (K)C-390 Milennium, which Sweden should be able to acquire at a very good cost rate due to Brazil being a Gripen E/F customer.) While Sweden is still behind Poland in boosting it's defence budget, there already seems to develop a consensus that it will be necessary to raise it above 3% of GDP, & similar opinions seem to evolve in the rest of the Nordic countries. The Baltic states have obviously already come to that conclusion.🧐 This has the potential of becoming an "alliace of the willing" within NATO. It should have potential to also expand those taking part in JEF aswell, & if so, will probably grow a bit further..🤔

Harpsund is the recreational home of the Swedish Prime Minister, sort of like Camp David in the US. Not important to know really, but it shows how serious these talks are.

Individual European countries may be bullied by Ruzzia, but against a united Europe they almost become insignificant. This is why they are striving so hard to split the EU and NATO. It's also why they support far-right parties and candidates across Europe, since they are more negative towards the EU and NATO. Brexit probably also would never have happened without Ruzzian money and election interference campaigns since the margins were so slim.

Only Sweden, Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia combined have almost 2 bln nominal GDP, and 60 mln population. If they would cooperate closely, they can stand against Russia. If Norway and Denmark were a part of this self-defence group, it would be even better. Together we are stronger.

A Baltic Blockade over the winter might force Putin to leave the Ukraine.
