I have a Ludwig Classic maple kit and also use coated vintage Emperors on the toms. Something about those heads and Maple drums that are just a match made in Heaven!

Bass is a little too loose for me but as a whole the kit sounds great. I also own a TAMA.

Wish tama would use the same kind of new easy remove rim and lug system on all their drums that are on the new Starphonic snares.
