It should be noted that an optional liaison exists for the conjugations of the verb « être » which means the « est à côté de » part of her first example can have the « t » pronounced at the end of « est » since it's followed by « à » which is a vowel sound.

I teach french in Dubai and today i used this video, because my students are from Korea, i slowed it down. It was so funny because you sounded like you've had some good french wine...no offense, i just wanted them to get a slower pronunciation, It worked and they had fun listening and learning...just wanted to share, you should try to watch it at a slow pace...good job!!!!

You're great. I grew up in Europe. My first language is English. The next language I needed to learn was German, as we lived in that country for 6 years. I spoke like a native, and rolled my "R" like a good German. The third language I learned (at 11 yrs) was French. I could not kick the habit of rolling my Rs like a German, and I came up with a compromise that never felt right. Thank you for teaching me how to pronounce the French "R" correctly by holding a pencil between my teeth! Although I started to speak French about 50 years ago, it's obviously never too late to learn something new. Many thanks.
