Watch Out For These Investment Scams ( How To Avoid Them )
Показать описание
The best victims for con artists are the people who think they can’t be scammed, and that have expertise in the area. For example, if you want to scam someone, you scam someone who absolutely doesn’t think they can get scammed, and if they know about investing, you try to scam them in that area.

1. Split Test Scam
- Imagine you get an email, from someone telling you that a stock is going to go skyrocket this week and that you should invest ( and it happens)
- Then you get 5 more emails, and the person has been correct each time
- By this point, you have to be curious and you have to believe
- And you get one last email saying, you're going to be invited to a meeting with some investor at some fancy hotel
Results:
- You get to the Hotel
- They explain to you how their software works
- And how they were able to pull off those investments
- They ask for an investment from you before the last round of investing is over
The truth:
- Coun artist tell you 99 truth and burry one lie
- It's not easy to see through the maze
- Until I’ve explained to you how it works it is
Here is the Scam
- Where you end up with 31 people who believe in you
- You pick a super volatile stock bet two ways and send emails 50-50
- You do 6 times, and by the end, you have a group of believer
2. Social Proof Scam ( SEzar and this entire thing going on with him)
A famous example of this is Bernie Madoff and a more recent one is Cesar Pina
- This is guy that I personally first heard about him from DJ Envy when I use to watch The Breakfast Club and all that stuff
- But these scams are very well-hidden
Here is how they tend to work ( I’m not saying these people were scamming, this is just a theoretical example)
- You have a con man, who builds up a reputation via paid association or by dealing with people of status
- People of status then go and promote the product or service and have the masses get involved
- These are usually Ponzi schemes, so eventually, it ends when they saturate the market
In the end:
- The scam can be investment returns
- Real estate profits
- Digital currency yields or pumps and dumps, but in the end the last people end up losing the most.
3. Nothing you Can do About it Scams
- I mention them because they are important
- They involved overstated cash flow statements and accounting fraud
For example:
- Jordan Belfort with Pump and Dump
- Barry Minkow ZZZZ scam ( fake customer and fake transactions )
- Enron
What can you do to avoid these scams ( use common sense )
- If you don’t know how to analyze companies don’t get involved
- If it sounds to good to be true, don’t get involved
- If your neighbor got rich don’t get involved
But seriously
- You are better off with classic investing ( index funds with reputable brokers )
- Investing in real estate via yourself or REITs
- And so on ( be careful )
