So trading.. should be simple, and it usually is. But sometimes this game can be frustrating. Here is a rant, as requested, about how I go about trading and setting things up. Dock y u no work?!

Pharaoh A New Era is a full remake of the October 31, 1999 release of Pharaoh and its expansion Cleopatra. The dock system is so much nicer now - you can select which items the dock is allowed to trade, and the ships will visit multiple docks as needed - this means you can place your docks close to the production of the goods you want to sell, provided that there is space for one, and also then not have huge queues at the dock.

Hey Wolf, great video! Question, what does the buy / sell price in the mission editor refer to, how many units does that represent? Weapons sell for 275 i think, but 275 for how many units? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!

Thank you for the great tutorials. I am currently stuck on Mission 7. I set up my map as you did, but no workers would cross over the barriers to staff the fishing wharves, reed gatherers, shipbuilder, and stock yards. The only way I could get them there was to build work camps and remove the blockades. Any idea why?

when Pharaoh requests food items, it can be fulfilled by taking it straight from the granaries, so no need to move the food items to the storage yard

I don't even know why the "as needed" option is there for. Always set trade manually.

In my testing the original game docks were bugged and ships were queuing indefinitely, while in the new one you can specify what goods each dock can trade with which make ships go to different docks

Thanks for the video! Just a question with trading by land, is it not more efficient to stockpile the traded resource and place the storage yard close to the beginning of the kingdom road, that way the trader doesn't have to travel through your city? Or doesn't it really matter?

I have 2question now
1.why sometime you don’t want the house to evolve?(by limit resources just like pottery, beer etc)
2.is it necessary for workplace(every building except house) to be close to house because sometime I place gold mine far from my house area and there r no worker even the road connect to city

I've found docks to be a bit buggy in certain missions. I had to delete all but one dock on one mission as no trade ships would dock anywhere but this one location (I repeatedly checked & reset the trade settings, even deleted and reset all the docks). Started the level over and same issue, but in later missions the docks appear to work better. Having watched this I might replay the mission I found to be an issue just to double check it wasn't me misunderstanding the mechanics.

The ONLY thing I really wanted them to change is the trading system. I want to be able to tell which products I want to sell to which town. I see that this problem has not been addressed.

e.g. in the North-Dahschur campain i have a stable eco, but i can only import stone from one source. I am just waiting for this thing to finish, but i takes years and i have n action to make. Any guess to improve this?
