Keto-flu sounds scary, but it's actually easy to understand and getting through it is very do-able. Keto-flu is a combination of 3 different things going on in your body at the same time. It can make you feel bad for 3-10 days, but the health benefits of getting through it are wonderful.

Some health "experts" will warn you not to do keto because of the dangerous flu-like symptoms you might experience when you start. This is like saying that a smoker who is trying to quite should just smoke a cigarette to help with the "quitters-flu" symptoms they are having. Bad advice. Don't be afraid of the keto-flu, this video will give you some strategies to make it less-unenjoyable, and you will be glad you did it afterwards.

I've been an alcoholic, smoker and carb addict. Carbs were by far the hardest habit to kick.

So glad I watched this and read similar stories. Day 9 for me and I actually feel like I have flu. Weak, dizzy, off balance, headache and fatigue. But I know my reason WHY I'm doing this and I just look at my photo before I started. 47yo, was 214lb now 205lb. Bless you all 👍🏻💯

My head hurts so bad right now and the ringing in my ears is over the top! Brain fog, dizziness.... blah. Wasn’t expecting this since I’ve been keto before and never had keto flu. Not giving up though!

I'm going through keto flu now, after resuming a strict BBBEF after spending a few months eating a lot of dairy including yoghurt and cheese. It's worse than when I first went carnivore cold turkey. I didn’t expect it to be so bad.

I'm on Day 3 of keto now and feeling a mild keto flu; headaches, weak and a little dizzy.

My personal trick for performing well in the gym is to do it first thing in the morning, before my body knows the tank is empty.

Last HGb-A1C 5.6. I carry all my weight around my mid section. I'll be 55 in August. I'm in the midst of Keto flu. I'm shedding water like no ones business. about 10 pounds in a week. My symptoms are diarrhea, muscle spasms, light headache, irritability, and fatigue. I've started on electrolytes and they are helping immensely. The struggle is real, but future me will be glad I'm doing this. Here's hoping for many healthy years to come. God bless you all on this journey. You Got This!

I’m on day 8 and had a horrible keto flu starting yesterday. Body feeling achey, 102 fever and no appetite. Done keto before but don’t ever remember feeling this bad. Been on blood pressure meds but hate how tired they make me so decided to go keto again. I am watching my blood pressure and tapering off meds. Have been feeling melancholy too. Food was my emotional crutch so I guess I’m mourning that temporary high. Woke up had electrolytes and a salty breakfast. Came to the gym for workout & steam room. Feel better. Thank you for the reassurance & knowledge.

I think I was luckily. I never got the Keto flu, but then I was sick everyday before I started keto, so maybe I just didn't notice. :) 2 yrs keto and love it!

I was definitely a little naive about keto flu! I took a week to ease into carnivore from SAD. Taking electrolytes for 3 days leading up to full carnivore. First day of carnivore, I no longer had the drop in blood sugar around 2:30 PM and thought I had made it.
Then that evening, I felt nauseous and had terrible brain fog. All night I alternated from too hot/too cold.
I woke up miserable. I could barely stand and thought I might throw up. I had shakes, sweats, and could not safely hold my 6 month old. Everything in my fridge was revolting to me. I decided to start from scratch, eat carbs and troubleshoot. Especially as a nursing mom with two other kids, the oldest is 4. I can't be out like that for days on end. Since getting back to baseline, I've been able to reintroduce meat, although fats are still gross to me for now. Not sure how I'll overcome that, since I know ladies tend to do best with higher fat.
I see now that I need a more gradual strategy. I'm going to do low carb for at least a month and taper down carbs from there. And electrolytes! I didn't know I needed THAT much salt. I will try again - I'm down but not out! It's really eye opening how bad I have it for carbs.

Thanks, Dr Berry. After losing 75 in 18 months on Keto, I decided to “take a break” while on vacation in Mexico. After returning home, went back to keto pretty quick. Within a week I started getting symptoms of the WORST case of Keto Flu that I’ve ever had or heard of. Fever, chills, fatigue...I immediately started pouring the electrolytes into my body and felt better within 24 hours. Holy cow, it was horrible!!!

I ordered those electrolyte drops yesterday on amazon and the info on these drops actually mentions your name. When I saw that I knew these drops were the right electrolyte product to buy. I cant wait till the drops arrive. I have only been on this diet for 5 days and feel so much better already. I have lost 7 pounds of water in my body, I cant wait till the fat burning begins. I have 130 lbs to lose.

I am watching this again because my head hurts so much, my face feels burning. I fell off the wagon this past holiday. Just today I started bone broth fast, the withdrawal symptoms are terrible. My whole head and neck and shoulders hurt... thank you Dr. Berry for the video. I need to get through tonight and hopefully get good sleep!

Anyone getting anxiety and a little depression with Keto Flu on carnivore? This is really hitting me hard and I'm at Day 8!

I’ve been eating keto for a good 3 days now and day 2 I felt keto flu, been having trouble sleeping, fatigue and aching, very on edge, I recently began “no fap” two weeks ago and went through similar symptoms except rock bottom depression rather then anxiety, this year is about stripping back the shit, healing and growing strong. Goodluck anyone who’s on the same journey 💪🏼✌🏼

Never thought I’d admit to being addicted to Carbs but I’m so shocked that I don’t crave them anymore! It’s such an amazing feeling to not be addicted to sweets/Carbs, and instead be transformed from he cellular level! So amazing! Thank you for your wonderful knowledge!! 20lbs down and counting! 🎉🙏🏼🎉🙏🏼

I had keto flu on and off when I changed to eating keto. My diet was carbage before 🤣. 5 months in and I feel fantastic. I'm totally fat adapted and couldn't be happier with the keto lifestyle.

I didnt get keto flu. I became deliriously happy right from the start. I cant be angry or peeved off if I tried. My brain just doesnt work that way anymore. For example: I almost got runover one morning. As I stepped off the curb a motorist narrowly missed running over my toes as he was travelling in the wrong direction. All I said with great surprise was "you cheeky bugger".
So this is 2years calm and collected. Its pretty nice.😁
