Function (Fn) keys not working on Windows 10 laptop

Function (Fn) keys – F1, F2, F3, etc., come in handy for those who are in dire need of shortcuts on their keyboards. Laptops are usually equipped with such keys but desktop keyboards, especially the gaming ones, are no stranger to these kinds. When the function keys are not working, we would not be able to use these shortcuts.

It seems that some users have been facing an issue where the Function (Fn) keys not working. These are either some driver related issue or are caused due to the updates stopping some programs from running.

Here are a few fixes:

Use Fn and Esc key at the same time for about 2s.. you're problem will solve 🙌

Make Sure Fn Keys Are Not Locked
On your keyboard, look for an Fn, F lock, or F Mode key. Depending on your laptop, you should press for one time or press and hold for a few seconds. If this didn't work, press the Fn and Esc keys at the same time. Then, try to use one of the Function keys.

my laptop keys work perfectly but some function key does not work properly eg. fn+f7 doesn't works but fn+f2 works but f7 key works perfectly as a function key do u have any idea about that

The video shows you going into windows to use command prompt, as windows won't load and function keys will not work to enter bios mode, how can this be fixed. Dell Optiplex 760 Computor
