If you are unable to spend excessive cash on hot chocolate for the velvetiser can you use normal hot chocolate?

One alternative that works well is Cadbury Flake. Before adding to the milk simply introduce it to a wooden rolling pin, takes about 20 seconds to demolish it, in the wrapper. At first I added it to the milk about 45 seconds into the machines cycle, as recommended by a reviewer on here, but a few days ago I was day dreaming, suddenly realised the machine had been running for 1 minute 45, so I tipped it in regardless! It worked, and for some reason this way it is a lot better. Try it to see ☺

My grandparents still get their milk delivered in glass bottles. It’s cool

I think to avoid that clump of hot chocolate at the bottom, maybe add the powder with a little bit of hot milk first and add that into the rest of the milk, then velvetise. Worth giving that a try?

Considered starting the machine and then adding the chocolate?
That might just solve the clumping problem

Interesting to see but I think I'll be sticking to the Hotel Chocolat flakes, that's the point of the machine to me - to have a luxury hot chocolate at home.

You should try it with just chocolate, grate it and try it since that is what there packets are, or perhaps try chocolate chips?

Jesus that Cadbury’s hot chocolate sound revolting. Sugar, glucose syrup and palm oil. Blurgh!!

Hey great videos on watching other videos to not have the clump just let it spin first for a bit then slowly add the spoonful slowly so it resolves slowly at the top before it gets to the bottom I reckon it would work!!
