The 2 fastest women in the world for 2023 just dropped a masterclass 100 meters, and the closer you look at the race, the more impressive the finishes become.

I'm really rooting for Richardson. Her form this year has been so consistently great I think she can do it. She'll have to be perfect though, with a much better start because those Jamaican women are incredibly quick.

Very interesting stats, Sha'Carri ran that fast with the worst start and still managed to win. Sha'Carri, Shericka and Shelly-Anne are going to put on a show come Worlds 😜 🤗

* Ta'Lou and Alfred will be showing off too 👀🍿

These 2 ladies is in, seriously good form. Only the great shelly ann, can stop 1 of these ladies , from winning the 100m gold at world championships. Only she heve the power on the track to do it.

Wow! This is definitely exciting! Jackson and Richardson are tied 3 wins each!

it's "easier" to run a fast 60 outdoors, because the best athletes normally don't focus on peaking for the indoor season, or they may skip in entirely. That's why it's generally much easier to break indoor world records, the level of competition is not quite the same. If Shelly had made it a top priority over the majority of her career to set the indoor 60m WR she definitely would have done so....but instead she's been focused on racking up a rediculous amount of outdoor world championship and olympic medals and chasing that elusive 10.5 or 10.4

Can you share the splits link or how can I find it?

It would be amazing if Shellyann won, but I don't think she will. If Sah'Carri stays consistent, maybe she'll get it; if she flip-flops even the slightest, Shericka is all over her. I never ignore the fact that the women's performances can fluctuate for physical and chemical factors that don't occur in men.

Outdoors you can be assisted by wind up to 2m/s. There may also be an altitude which helps athletes run faster.

shelly was 35 last year. anyone running that fast at that age is doping. period

A comment below reminded me of Alfred...I forgot about her! All I can say is that if everyone can stay healthy the world record will be challenged. I don't think it will be broken because Elaine Thompson is missing. It seems like Sha'Carri has figured out how to consistently beat Jackson, but lately after watching Jackson's behavior post races I really think that Jackson has simply been working on putting the 3 parts of the races together. Sha'Carri seemed to have much shorter strides when going up against Gabby, and at Nationals for the 100m finals so I am not sure how whe will handle the pressure she puts on herself for the really big spotlight races. But, I'm beginning to feel that Jakcson is going to do something very shocking! So, I now have 1-Jackson, 2-Shelly if she is 100%, 3-Alfred/Talou/Sha'Carri. So if Shelley is even slightly injured then 2nd maybe Alfred, because she is fresh from a good rest after college championships and she seems to be able to handle the pressure 😎
