I'm just going to throw this out there; If NHIs or ETs consider our bodies containers then it stands to reason that they consider all physical bodies are disposable containers for the soul, consciousness, your guess is as good as mine. But, if these creatures aren't particularly concerned about the destruction of their bodies perhaps the crashes are intentional. After all, objects in the sky might not send the intended message (we are here!). Any obvious display that would be unmistakable would freak out the public. A crashed craft would be an excellent way to do it. It's reasonable to assume that, given the site of the crash in Roswell, that the craft would be recovered by the government which would prove to those who retrieved the craft that there are aliens. I guess they didn't count on the governments of the world concealing that fact for more than 70 years, which kind of forces their hand and has led to what were seeing now. It's just a matter of time before the lies become untenable. Somebody is going to break.

Our aircraft, which is so far beneath the displayed performance of the other objects by orders of magnitude, fly constantly with few crashes. How reasonable is it to assume that entities capable of this level of sophistication would crash as often as they do. Seriously, you can seemingly perform impossible aerial maneuvers, enter the ocean and travel as easily as you do in air, and get here from wherever you came from regardless of the vast size of the universe.

And they crash, frequently (consider how many crashes we know about and that there are recovery teams, how many more don't we know about?). Not buying it.

@TechChasm, with the Calvine photo, the 'hiker', or poacher actually, took 6 photos, that's how many shots he had left on the roll of film in his camera. It wasn't that the object disappeared before another photo could taken. There are 6 photos, we have only seen one. The photos were confiscated, including the negatives. We have that one photo of the event because someone stashed it away for a few decades

I captured a similar small grey metal sphere in two photographs at 24Mp in PHX metro. I didn't see anything in the sky when I was taking the photos during two separate incidents. First one was 300 ft. above and 1/2 mile away, It was a perfect sphere. It could have been a balloon, but I would have detected it with my eyes but didn't at the time. Seconds incident I was taking photos during golden hour and later detected a small dark round object stationary in the sky about 500-700 ft above the ground about 4 miles away. I found it in several exposures proven it was not an anomaly, and it stayed in the same spot in the sky. I later returned to view the same location in the sky another day and saw it there again with my eyes. I don't think it was the planet Venus, as it was late afternoon. It was in the southwestern sky. I found it very strange. A perfect sphere, and would be over a portion of state highway 60 in Mesa.
