Before becoming a superstar TV producer, 50 Cent tried to follow in Will Smith’s footsteps by becoming a serious actor. So, after previously playing the lead in Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ which basically allowed him to just be himself, 50 tried to flex his dramatic muscles by signing up for an Oscar bait drama called All Things Fall Apart. In the film, 50 played Deon, a dreadlocked American football player who is diagnosed with cancer.

To play someone suffering from a terrible illness, 50 dropped from 214 pounds to 160 in nine weeks after “liquid dieting and running on a treadmill three hours a day.” But unfortunately for 50, his attempt at going all Christian Bale didn’t pay off because the film didn’t even make it to cinemas and was a direct to video release. To make matters worse, it’s got a score of just 5.4/10 on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s gotta be a tough L for 50 to take.
