I am almost 50 years and what I saw Maradona do in the 80s and 90s, I feel sick when you guys compare Messi to him. If you play for Barcelona with all the best players in world being part of that team and you shine don't tickle yourself into thinking you belong to "The Maradona class". He was the only person in his class and nobody else, period. The greatest of all time has passed on. I stopped loving football when Maradona and Ronaldhino stopped playing the game. I loved football because of Maradona. And I used to support Argentina because him. I am indeferente now. My condolences to his family.

I've been watching Maradona for a long time and I always try to find a description that distinguishes him from other footballers, past and present. The best way to describe Diego is that he had a special and unique relationship with the football that no man has had nor will ever have in history. The best and all time numero uno without a single shadow of doubt in my mind.

Diego Armando Maradona was Mozart and Beethoven in one person with his football skills.
He was a unique virtuoso on the ball with an equally unique instinct on the field. Just being there on the pitch was enough motivation for his teammates. In my opinion, the football skills of a Diego Maradona were and still are unmatched across generations. Simply the best footballer of all time on this planet. Rest in peace Diego!
