Jamie Foxx speaks publicly for first time since hospitalized due to illness

Jamie Foxx has spoken publicly for the first time since the actor was hospitalized in April for an unspecified medical emergency. In an Instagram video, Foxx credited his sister, daughter and medical staff for saving his life. NBC News’ Dana Griffin has the story.

Why is his "medical emergency" such a big secret? I mean, I get it. We all want some level of privacy and stuff. But it just seems incredibly odd that there's so much secrecy around it. Heart attack, stroke, etc. What's the big deal? Unless something way more serious and potentially reputation-affecting is going on.
