I know it's just ants, but I felt bad that they had their antennas removed 😭😭

“And when their dominant hand was removed, humans found a way to pick up those tasks with their non-dominant hand” I’m just saying, you didn’t need to cut their antenna off just to see what happens lol. Other than that this was an extremely cool collection of footage 👍🏻

I love how every year we get closer and closer to showing how pretty much all life can think and feel whether it be insanely primitive or borderline genius.

Never thought I would watch something like this, but thanks to my ant infestation lately it made me curious of how smart ants are.

But how do they come to know that above that table there is a piece of raisin in the first place when in the entire home there is no ant visible?😅

Cute little things 😍 my sensilla have long since evolved to be internal for the most part. It's so fun watching them scout with those long antennae

Thanks to this video, i was able to learn more about how they supply food. It is amazing that even small creatures behave in a effective way

But that is not how they find the food but just the way back and forth to the already found food. I think they have receptors for sugary, fatty and protein food that they follow. I found one ant at the wall one time and stood next to it with sweetened tea. The ant seemed to smell it as it helt its antennas in the direction of the tea and try to reach it.

This doesn't answer how they know to climb a steel pole to get to a bird feeder with jelly and oranges for the Orioles?
