I first heard this song when I was 12 and instantly cried. A few years later, I sung this at the funeral of a close friend who passed away too soon from cancer and i've not been able to listen to it since. It's been many years but tonight, I was sitting alone in my car and heard Jeff's voice creeping out of the car window next to mine. I heard this song again for the first time since that day and instantly cried. Music is powerful.

My dad played this on his guitar, and sang it beautifully. He’s been gone for almost two years, and I miss his so much.

The greatest male singer of all time imo. My heart breaks every time I hear Jeff sing. Wow.

Just discovered this song. Been a casual fan for 15 years or so.

Jeff Buckley added a ton of feeling and real gusto to everything he played. This is specially notable in his covers, since you can compare them to the original versions. Such a tragedy to have lost him.

Stunningly amazing version of this. Jeff was a genius. His music was both simple and profound. His influence on my own music cannot be overstated. Thank you, Jeff. RIP.

I have to put it in my will that I want this played at my funeral. I love this song. And it would be very fitting.

My best friends got up and sang this at my wedding a few days ago along with 'Hey Man (Now You're Really Living)' by Eels a few days ago. Cried my eyes out from happiness! I wish you all a wonderful and happy life :-)

Il più bravo cantante di sempre, certo. Una voce d'eccezione. Peccato che lo abbiamo perso così giovane.

We were born the same day, me and Jeff, and my dad was born the day after Tim. My dad, who's also been a musician, is somehow similar to Tim. I feel a special bond with Jeff💖

How many times have you heard someone say
If I had money, I would do things my way
But little they know that it's so hard to find
One rich man in ten with a satisfied mind

Money can't buy back, oh, your youth when you're old
A friend when you're lonely, oh, peace to your soul
The wealthiest person is a pauper at times
Compared to the man with a satisfied mind

When my life is over and my time has run out
My friends and my loved ones, I will leave them, no doubt
But one thing's for certain, when it comes my time
I'll leave this old world, oh yeah, ooh yeah, with a satisfied mind

One thing's for certain, when it comes my time, oh yeah
I'll leave this old world oh, with a satisfied mind
Mind, mind, mind, mind, satisfied mind

Music is an amazing thing, I haven't listened to this in years and it any other artist sang it I couldn't remember the lyrics but put on this version because of how many times I listened to Jeff. Buckley during traumatic periods of my life and how it got me through those periods and I still know every single line and every single inflection. Miss him and his music

What a voice ! Celestial heavens got him now, a place only that voice could reach on this ole ball of dirt for thirty too short years
One day a year, every year we ought to drain the Mississipi river for being so mean to us all by stealing away that mellifluous soul
