Love Robert Crais. I was able to meet him at a book signing, one of the last ones before covid. Great Guy.

King surprised me in The Stand giving Kojak (I used to be called Big Steve) a POV chapter. In 1992 Neal Stephenson
gave the waycool rat thing (robot dog) one too in Snow Crash, in fact that critter wound up helping save the day.
