How about everyone in government who’s exempt from paying SSI tax PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE and Congress pay back what they stole from the program. No cap on SSI tax is a good idea as well.

I think we had this discussion during the Carter administration. If memory serves, Congress was siphoning money out of it, and people didn't have enough.

In other words if a single person 67 or younger on disability gets 1400 a month they will tax it each month and they will only get 700 that's not fair that money has been taxed though the person's pay roll over the years they will be taking from us and giving it to illegal immigrants who never payed a dam penny of taxes

And maybe also stipulate you have to have been a citizen and paid taxes for at least 10 years before you can qualify to recieve SS.

Blue collar workers often have physically demanding careers that are outside. They most likely don't get to sit inside doing paperwork all day. So extending everyone's age to anything over 68 is often unrealistic. Unless they are going to be trained and placed (due to age discrimination) in a job with similar pay and benefits that isn't as physically taxing.

I live on less than $900 a month. It’s time you stop paying everybody else and start paying those like the veterans and those on disability and the elderly what they deserve. Stop taking care of everyone else leave our money alone!
