I think this song teaches us even though none of us are perfect and we all make mistakes sometimes, everyone deserves a second chance and the best thing to do is to learn from our mistakes and try to do better next time, like how Conrad got grounded from playing video games for crashing into their mom's car and almost ruined her dress for the party for the people from her work and at the end of the movie, she told their neighbor Larry Quinn even though Conrad makes bad choices and makes her want to rip her hair out, he's a good kid and she believes in him.
This song gives people good advice.
