I don’t support Grimsby or Wrexham, so there is no bias in this message, this manager’s mentality is absolutely appalling, spent half of the interview complaining about the ref when Wrexham scored from a handball and had a penalty given to them when Mullin should’ve been booked for diving, he didn’t really say much about how well Wrexham got back in the game by equalising multiple times or any positives from either team. Embarrassing.

17 year old town fan here, wholeheartedly deserved to lose with the style of football you played. I wouldn’t even call it football, proper dinosaur Sunday league stuff and you made it look like half of this comment section could come on and play better stuff. You may have the quality and funding but you seriously can’t be happy playing like that. Was there even 3 passes put together? Long ball and playing for throw-ins and corners. Yes it may be effective but I don’t believe that’s the right way to be a promoted side especially with your quality. No doubt you’ll bounce back to the efl next season but I wouldn’t be surprised if Parkinson doesn’t stay, can’t all be put on the ref and responsibility should be put on the tactics and style of play. However, Wrexham fans are class and I wish them all the best and major credit to them for helping the Mariners Trust. Major touch of class.

Surprised Wrexham opted to upload this interview. The sour grapes is not a good look and brand damaging. I don't think Phil has does himself any favours here.

The penalty and hand ball were two deliberate acts of foul play, so to have the audacity to blame officials really is quite something.

Now I’ve had a couple of days to let the disappointment settle I think an honest assessment of the season is that we had a poor start but since Christmas we have been phenomenal and perhaps the extra few games have been a bit much when chasing 1st and a trophy final. The reffs in this league are poor and will be for everyone.

Let’s be sure about one thing, this season has been by far one of the best seasons in decades. Despite not qualifying, the manager and the team can take some key learnings from this season to be better next year.

The owners have been the best thing to happen to this club and community and the management structure (and In that I include Fleur, Humphrey and Phil) have really helped to build a strong team and club that entertain as well as win.

My comments to the fans are, believe in the process, back the team, and they will succeed…there is no doubt about that.

Nothing worse than a bitter loser blaming the ref for everything - as for Mullins you can keep him - blatantly dived then blatantly hand balled so take two off the score Phil. The standard of refereeing is not the best however it’s the same for all teams and it really doesn’t help having players cheat as much as the likes of Mullins. Stockport played with dignity and the way the game is meant to be played throughout so maybe get rid of the cheats, stop relying so heavily on the long throw in and start playing football. Grimsby are playing well at the right time, very impressive at Notts County and got the job done at Wrexham. You were fortunate to get so close as Stockport hit a dry spell but In the end a class team led by a class manager won out - As the saying goes - That’s Hollywood 😊

I find it incredible this bloke can sit there and whinge about a referee when the first Wrexham goal came from a dive and the 3rd Wrexham goal was literally punched into the net, what planet is he on??? Shame really because everyone else involved with Wrexham have been classy in defeat

We ran Stockport to last day - AWESOME.

Fair enough, have a penalty for the keeper clash, we'll scratch two off for the hand ball goal and penalty that lets go 5-3 to Grimsby then ;) It wasn't a foul leading up to McAtee's - and the ref was blowing every 2 mins for a Wrexham player going down on a nothing challenge. You had a game plan to bully us, waste time and get as many free kicks as possible - Wrexham fans should blame this guy for not having a plan B

Ur complaining about the ref he gave u more desisions then us and two of Ur goals sud not have stud and if truth be told it sud of never got to extra time town sud if won 4-2 but sure Ur out were in stop complaining the best side won

Look at yourself Phil, honestly. Penalty given for nothing, Mullin punches the ball into the net like Maradona. Don't blame the ref for your bad management skills and your teams ability to bottle the last 3 games. How many goals/pens did you get after 90mins and after the allotted injury time. MASSIVE SOUR GRAPES. Hollywood money hasn't bought success and you have played ugly football for most of the season. Be realistic you are a non league club.

Sour grapes and defaulted to whinging about decisions against them as usual. Lack of class! Second best admit it… you are a decent NL team that’s it and has been proven. Score line flattered Wrexham imo

Fed up of referees being used as an excuse. As many others have said there were decisions in our favour as well. Three defeats in three big games is not good enough because the squad isn't good enough. Hopefully this will be resolved in the Summer.
