Awesome review, Albert! Pretty nice to see those packs in the market! 😃
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Thanks for the review. Those 18650 packs would be great for novice to practice, with all extra time you get out of them.

‘If you need a video about how to make one of these packs, you shouldn’t be doing it.’ That’s perfect - the most appropriate response to that question I’ve heard.

Been thinking about getting one of these for my 6s Buzz thats been outfitted with tpu, gps, dvr, and 1mw vtx. I had to update the vtx and install a new rx in it due to 6 inch Fold blade blowing off through the frame. I heard an odd sound, lost video, still sounding funny but was right in front of me so sat down and discovered one of the pin things and blade missing...

I made a 4s and now looking into the LG HG2 18650s for a 6s because of the 20amp continuous output but am not looking forward to it. It was a nightmare of an experience and wouldn't recommend it. I will be wearing a bombsuit.

Great video. I recently finished 7" build with 2508 1200kv motors. My current amp draw is between 25A and 35A during slow cruising and depending on weather conditions. 20 min flight time will be more than enough for me at the moment. Can I buy 6s1p or should I go for 6s2p batteries instead?

Hello, would LI-ONs be a good choice to get to a summit of a mountain? how do they behave in extreme cold?

Hey, what kind of flight-time would you reckon I would get with the 6s2p version of this battery cruising at 80kmh with a chimera7?

How to tell if i have the foldable version 1 vs 2? I bought some last month but tree away the package.

Much cheaper to make, much more dangerous.👍

Before I use 6s2p 18650 I would use 6s1p 21700

The voltage that you you go down to doesn't mean you have more flight time vs a LiPo (you refer to the 1.2v drop vs the 0.9v drop bring the reason for the larger energy amount). It's just the difference in the voltage/capacity curves for the different formulations. The Lipo has more capicity in the higher voltages while the LiIon has it's the bulk of its capacity in the 3.5v range. a 3000mah LiIon and a 3000mah Lipo both have the same capacity and energy. In your case here, your LiPo has 300 more mah, so your only advantage is weight saving. You have less energy to use than your lipo so you'll have to hope that the weight saving offsets this.
LiIon does have a higher energy density compared to LiPo but this just means it weighs less to get the same energy. That doesn't mean it can go longer than a LiPo pack that has the same capacity (assuming the weight saving of 100g is going to be quite negligible). You LiIon is 3000mah vs the 3300mah LiPo so your lipo has more energy than the LiIon.. If you were looking to compare LiIon flight time to LiPo flight time, you should compare a LiPo and LiIon pack that weigh the same, that way you'll have a lot more mah to consume with the LiIon pack PLUS the additional capacity will help to offset the lower C rating. You'll also find that to get the full capacity out of a LiIon, you need to be pulling nore more than about 2-3C.. any more than this and you'll get far less out of it. This is why, again, it's important to substitute your LiPo pack with a LiIon pack of the same weight, so that you get a much higher capacity and you'll be pulling less "C" from the pack.
