By taking the starting point as origin on a graph and plotting all the points on a graph we get to see that the same figure is obtained.

Now take the origin as point O, 30m distance as AB, 20m distance as BC and 30√2m as CD (Let the point of intersection of line AB and CD as P)

Here, we get Triangle PBC ~ Triangle POD
Also, AP = AB [ Because AP/AB = tan 45⁰ = 1]

So From CPST, AP/AO = AB/OD i.e. 20/10 = 20/OD
So, OD = 10m



Now displacement is OD which is equal to 10m and it is in West direction. So, option C is correct.
