This is a superb performance and video. The notes I can get from just listening but the left hand fingering has really solved/improved a couple things with how I've been playing it. Also, just watching the right hand is amazing for someone coming from more folk/bluegrass. She lets these notes ring in their rightful place without sense of hurry.

I totally agree with others regarding the camera angle. It's so easy to get the fingering confused where the guitar or other instrument is shown face on. All instruction videos should use this method.

What I notice at once is that the little finger is not used at all, the position changes make its use unnecessary, or the changes are done to avoid its use. I do that frequently. The dreaded weak little finger!

Really like the camera angle and love the playing, just beautiful and a very different tone than a carved arch top mando, very crisp and loud notes. Would really like to know more about the pick and I see that she uses a small piece of cloth on her lap for the mandolin  to sit on...wonder why?
